Pablo Escobar

Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria was a Colombian drug lord who co-founded the Medellín Cartel, controlling 80% of the global cocaine trade at its peak. At the height of his power, he was one of the richest men in the world, with an estimated net worth of $30 billion. Born into a poor family, Escobar began his criminal career as a teenager with petty street crimes. By the mid-1970s, he had established sophisticated cocaine smuggling routes to the United States.
