Biographie

Anna Sorokin, operating under the alias Anna Delvey, infiltrated New York City's elite social circles by posing as a wealthy German heiress with a trust fund of approximately 60 million euros. Between 2013 and 2017, she defrauded banks, hotels, and acquaintances through an elaborate web of lies and social engineering. Born in Russia to a working-class family that later moved to Germany, Sorokin moved to New York after briefly interning at a French fashion magazine. She crafted the "Anna Delvey" persona - a sophisticated European heiress planning to open an exclusive art club called the Anna Delvey Foundation. Her methods relied heavily on social proof and audacity. She stayed at luxury hotels without paying, convinced banks to consider loans of tens of millions of dollars for her fictitious foundation, and manipulated friends into covering her expenses. She once convinced a friend to put a $62,000 Morocco trip on her credit card, promising reimbursement that never came. Sorokin applied for a $22 million loan from City National Bank, submitting forged documents to support her claim of overseas wealth. She received a $100,000 overdraft facility based on these fraudulent documents. She was arrested in 2017 and convicted in 2019 on multiple counts of theft of services and grand larceny. She was sentenced to 4-12 years in prison and served nearly four years before being released into ICE custody for deportation proceedings. Her story was adapted into the Netflix series "Inventing Anna."

Profil Psychologique: ENFP

Sorokin exemplifies ENFP cognitive functions channeled entirely into social manipulation and identity fabrication: **Dominant Ne (Extraverted Intuition):** Her ability to constantly generate new possibilities - new stories, new angles, new ways to keep the con going - shows powerful Ne. She could improvise elaborate explanations on the spot and always saw another way out when cornered. **Auxiliary Fi (Introverted Feeling):** Her deep internal conviction that she deserved the lifestyle she was faking, and her complete lack of guilt about defrauding others, shows Fi turned inward to an extreme degree. She genuinely believed her own narrative and felt entitled to the world she fabricated. **Tertiary Te (Extraverted Thinking):** Her ability to create convincing fake documents, navigate banking procedures, and construct a plausible business plan for the Anna Delvey Foundation shows Te in service of fraud. She understood institutional systems well enough to exploit them. **Inferior Si (Introverted Sensing):** Her complete disregard for building anything real or sustainable - no actual assets, no real business plan, no genuine history - and her inability to learn from close calls show classic ENFP Si neglect. She lived entirely in the projected future, never anchoring to reality.
