Ted Kaczynski

Theodore John Kaczynski was a mathematical prodigy who entered Harvard at age 16 and later became the youngest assistant professor at UC Berkeley. He abandoned his academic career to live as a recluse in a cabin in Montana, where he conducted a 17-year bombing campaign that killed 3 people and injured 23 others. His targets were carefully selected: universities and airlines (hence "Unabomber" - University and Airline Bomber). Each attack was meticulously planned, with hand-crafted bombs designed to evade detection. His 35,000-word manifesto "Industrial Society and Its Future" outlined his anti-technology philosophy. Kaczynski was finally captured in 1996 after his brother David recognized his writing style in the published manifesto and alerted the FBI. He was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole and died in federal prison in 2023.

Kaczynski exhibits classic INTJ characteristics taken to pathological extremes: **Dominant Ni (Introverted Intuition):** His ability to envision a future shaped by technology and construct a comprehensive worldview around this vision demonstrates powerful Ni. He saw patterns others missed and developed a singular, uncompromising vision of societal collapse. **Auxiliary Te (Extraverted Thinking):** His methodical approach to bomb-making, target selection, and the logical structure of his manifesto show strong Te. Each attack was executed with precision and efficiency. **Tertiary Fi (Introverted Feeling):** His deep personal convictions about technology's evils and his willingness to act alone based on internal values reflect Fi. However, this function became distorted, allowing him to rationalize murder. **Inferior Se (Extraverted Sensing):** His retreat from society and minimal physical existence in his cabin shows classic INTJ neglect of Se. His bombs were his only engagement with the physical world.
